The National Wound Care Strategy Programme has developed recommendations and a clinical pathway for the prevention and management of pressure ulcers. On the 24th of July, Pressure Ulcer Clinical Lead, Jacqui Fletcher introduced the updates made following the consultation process in a new webinar.
Alongside a Pressure Ulcer Best Practice Bundle (which is currently under development in partnership with the Nursing Directorate and Patient Safety Team), this work aims to reduce pressure ulcers and the harm associated with them and improve patient outcomes and experiences of care.
