Community-based leg ulcer care recognised in the NHS England priorities and operational planning guidance

Apr 2, 2024 | News, Other

We are thrilled that community-based leg ulcer care has been recognised in the NHS England priorities and operational planning guidance for 2024/25.

Outlining NHS England’s national objectives for the year ahead, the guidance explains that by implementing best practice service models, community leg ulcer services can improve patient outcomes, which can in turn release time to care and improve overall population health. The NWCSP has worked with NHS England to include this information in the operational and clinical productivity section of the guidance, based on learning from implementing the NWCSP Lower Limb recommendations and in creating the NWCSP Leg Ulcer Best Practice Bundle.
