NWCSP Clinical Lead, Jacqui Fletcher recently joined Tracey Herlihey and Lauren Mosley from the NHSE Patient Safety Team to take part in the team’s pressure ulcer planning podcast.
During the session, Jacqui discussed the project to create a guide for the management of pressure ulcers based on the principles of PSIRF; the framework due to replace the Serious Incident Framework by Autumn 2023. She also gave an overview of other NWCSP projects, including the development of pressure ulcer recommendations and a clinical pathway and ongoing pressure ulcer surveillance work, noting the key aim to coordinate data collection with clinical care.
