In the 9th June 2021 edition of Wounds UK, Una Adderley, Jacqui Fletcher and Ann Jacklin discuss a brief history of pressure ulcer measurement in England, exploring policy approaches, approaches to measurement and use of data over the past 20 years. This paper is the first of three, setting the scene for some changes that will be being implemented in the national reporting of pressure ulcers following the removal of the Safety Thermometer.
